Satellite images of the Greenwich Peninsula have finally been updated on Google Maps.
Imagery from April 2017 replaces that of July 2013; taken when only Bellway's City Peninsula and Scape student accommodation existed on the Lower Riverside, just south of the London Soccerdome. Soon after the images were captured, Knight Dragon took on sole ownership of the Greenwich Peninsula scheme in November 2013. The before/after pictures below capture the striking changes across the wider Greenwich Peninsula over a period of more than four years.
Google Earth shows the date of images as you browse through the Timeline feature and shows that, while satellite photos were captured in 2014 and 2015, bad weather and poor image quality prevented an update of Google Maps until now.
